Welcome to Alleluia Community School's Maker Class
A class about 3d Printing, computer aided design, and building cool/random things.
What is Maker Class?
The "Maker Movement" consists of people who like building cool things for their own use or for others. It can involve old world craftsmanship like leatherwork, woodwork, or blacksmithing, as well as modern disciplines like electronics, computer aided design, and both additive and subtractive manufacturing.
The Maker Class seeks to introduce students to the basic principles of designing and building real world objects. With an initial focus on FDM (fused deposition modeling) 3D Printing, and Tinkercad, the class will follow the creative curiosity of the students to build whatever they may fancy, be that robots, drones, rc cars, or other cool things.
The Alleluia Makers GitBook will serve to document the class during its first year, building a reference tool for future generations, as well as a way to show off to all the other kids who don't realize how awesome it is to make new stuff.
